Training Course Code: AHCMOM213 Operate and Maintain Chainsaws
Accredited course on how to cut felled trees and maintain a chainsaw. Includes handouts and courseware. If found competent you will be issued with a certificate from the QLD 4WD Association.
Costs: $145per person attending the course
The Training Coordinator will notify you when and where to pay once enrolment is confirmed. Payment must be made directly to 4WD Qld (not the Qld 4x4 Club account)
What to Bring: Usual morning tea, lunch
Scope:
- Chainsaw safety, operation, maintenance, trim, and cut felled trees.
Learning objectives:
- Knowledge of and respect for the hazards of chain saw operation and maintenance, conduct risk assessment, and implement appropriate controls.
- Conduct routine and periodic maintenance (refuel, clean/check air cleaner, muffler/spark arrestor, spark plug, chain, and bar, sharpen and adjust chain, replace starter cord and spring).
- Operate chain saw - start safely, cross cut (incl. bridging, swinging, boring, ripping, wedge, reducing cuts) felled trees.
