Annual Queensland 4x4 Club Christmas Party for Adults & Children, (Pet friendly, rules apply).
The Christmas party will be held at a private venue at Laceys Creek.
Camping:
Private venue at Laceys Creek. Address to be provided after registration.
Camping is free but a donation to cover costs of hire of portable toilets and showers may be required.
Steve & Patti have requested that there be NO GLASS DRINKING vessels used in the camping area as this is used by horses.
There is mainly off-grid powered camping with a few powered spots for those with Medical needs only.
- Secret Santa will be happening at night so get your gift to a value of $20 for males and females.
- Santa will also be there on the day for children so have a gift wrapped and labeled to the value of $20.
Catering:
Catering is $20.00 per adult / Children under 16 Free
Breakfast $5.00 per adult / Children under 16 Free
[Please ensure you add the number of children under 16 on your registration so we can make sure we are catering for them]
As in previous years for members, the catering is a refundable deposit that is required 10 days prior to the event. This deposit will be refunded to you at your attendance at the event [Please make payment in Cash to the Treasurer] (Kids under 16 free)
What to bring:
Camping Equipment / Beverages / Lunches / Swimming Gear / Christmas presents - child and adult Secret Santa
Generators are welcome but be considerate of neighbours and operate between the hours of 9 am to 9 pm.
Pets:
Pets are to be on a leash at all times whilst on the trip
Itinerary
- Friday night, byo dinner
- Friday night will be the November club meeting at the camping location or via Zoom at 7 pm
- Saturday drive in Mt Mee
- Saturday afternoon kids games & Santa will attend (wrapped Christmas gift to $25 max if required)
- Pool and spa available for use by all club members
- Saturday evening
Happy hour provided
Spit roast - lamb and pork - with vegetables, salads and some cold meats

Santa Visit (please bring a present for your child to the value of $20.00 to be given out by Santa)
Adult Secret Santa (please bring a present to go under the Christmas Tree for the Adult Secret Santa)
Secret Santa Rules:
- To the value of $20.00
- Girls buy for girls - boys buy for a boy
- We will run a present pinch (as per previous years) - select your present BUT before unwrapping it you can choose to swap your present with a present that has already been upwrapped! Maximum 2 swaps on any unwrapped present. ** You can only swap at the time of choosing the present from under the tree, HOWEVER, if you are given your own present you can elect to keep it or swap for another on the table **
- You are not required to participate in Secret Santa and at the time of receiving the drawer number please let the person giving it to you know
FYI on how To Play the Secret Santa Game
- Dollar value $20.00
- When you hand in your Secret Santa gift you will be given a random number. The person with #1 will start the game.
- The game begins once #1 selects a gift from the pile, opens it, and shows it to everyone.
- The person who drew #2 then goes and has the option to steal #1's gift (aka "Dirty Santa") or pick a different gift from the pile. This continues with each person having the chance to steal or choose a wrapped gift. Note: you need to make the decision to steal a gift before you open the gift you have selected, once you have opened your gift you can not steal.
- A gift can be stolen no more than three times.
- A gift can also only be stolen once per turn. For example, if person #17's gift was stolen, and they steal from person #5, then person #5 cannot steal the gift that was taken from #17.
- If your gift is stolen, you can't steal it right back.
- In one rule variation, each participant can only be stolen from three times. At that point, they are out of the game, and the gift they're holding is theirs to keep.
