Club Christmas Party 2023
Annual Queensland 4x4 Club Christmas Party for Adults & Children, (Pet friendly, rules apply). The Christmas party will be held at Kenilworth Showgrounds.
We will be near the pool and park and skate park for kids of all ages to enjoy the day.
- Secret Santa will be happening at night so get your gift to a value of $20 for males and females.
- Santa will also be there on the day for children so have a gift wrapped and labeled to the value of $20.
Itinerary
- Friday night meal at the Kenilworth Hotel for those interested
- Saturday afternoon kids games & Santa will attend ( wrapped Christmas gift to $25 max if required)
- Saturday evening
Meal: Pizza’s From Kenilworth Pizza & dessert to follow

Camping fees are to be paid on arrival to Showgrounds Caretaker you just advise that you are part of the Queensland 4x4 Club booking ( $25 powered $20 unpowered)
Friday night at the Hotel is not funded by the Club please indicate your interest as I will have to coordinate with Hotel staff for the group area on the back deck!
Club members are welcome to come up just for the Saturday & there are other accommodation options in town within walking distance of the Showgrounds, if camping is not for you.
A drive is planned for Saturday (details TBA)
As in previous years a totally refundable $20 per adult deposit will be required up to 10 days prior to the event. [Please make payment in Cash to the Treasurer] ( Kids under 12 free)
Please note Saturday’s evening meal is to be provided by the Club, non-members & guests will not receive a refund ( this is their cost to attend)
FYI on how To Play the Secret Santa Game
- Dollar value $20.00
- When you hand in your secret Santa gift you will be given a random number. The person with #1 will start the game.
- The game begins once #1 selects a gift from the pile, opens it, and shows it to everyone.
- The person who drew #2 then goes and has the option to steal #1's gift (aka "Dirty Santa") or pick a different gift from the pile. This continues with each person having the chance to steal or choose a wrapped gift. Note: you need to make the decision to steal a gift before you open the gift you have selected, once you have opened your gift you can not steal.
- A gift can be stolen no more than three times.
- A gift can also only be stolen once per turn. For example, if person #17's gift was stolen, and they steal from person #5, then person #5 cannot steal the gift that was taken from #17.
- If your gift is stolen, you can't steal it right back.
- In one rule variation, each participant can only be stolen from three times. At that point, they are out of the game, and the gift they're holding is theirs to keep.
