The Fraser Island Clean Up is run over a weekend with Four Wheel Drive Queensland affiliated clubs and their members volunteering 6 hours of their time over the weekend to clean and weed this World Heritage Island.

A drive day up Teewah beach to checkout some of the sites. Checkout some lizards at freshwater and take a hike to the lighthouse. Then a short drive to the sandbars at Rainbow to stop for lunch and those that wish to fish, safe for kids to swim. Bring the usual morning, afternoon teas and lunch.
You will need to purchase a beach permit (Cooloola Vehicle Access), do this prior to the trip from the Department of Environment and Science and Sport and Recreation Web site:

Tewantin ferry crossing is $7 each way. Beach permit is about $12.95 for the day.
